Materials
The materials commonly used for TB oil seals are listed below:
Nitrile rubber (NBR)
Performance characteristics: good heat resistance, wear resistance, resistance to a variety of lubricants, greases, oil and gas mixtures, etc., the applicable temperature is generally in - 30 ℃ ~ 120 ℃, but can not be used in phosphate ester-based hydraulic oil and gear oil containing extreme pressure additives, in gasoline and low aniline point of mineral oil, the performance is stable.
Application advantages: relatively low cost, good overall performance, can meet the sealing needs of many conventional working conditions, can be used in automotive engines, gearboxes and other parts of the oil seal.
Fluorine rubber (FKM)
Performance characteristics: outstanding aging resistance, heat resistance, oil resistance, almost applicable to all lubricants, fuel oils, gasoline, not easy to harden in the oil containing extreme pressure additives, however, cold resistance, high temperature abrasion resistance is poor, permanent compression deformation is larger, applicable temperature - 20 ℃ ~ 250 ℃.
Application Advantage: It can be used in some occasions with very high requirements for oil resistance and heat resistance, such as high-end equipment in aerospace, chemical industry and other fields.
